Change management
In the current economic conditions internal
reorganisations, business transfers and redundancies are an inevitable
consequence of business life. It is a simple fact that change happens.
Often it is the way change is managed and presented that upsets employees
and not the change itself. With the costs of getting change wrong
increasing we work closely with our clients to develop solutions and in
particular to provide business-focused advice in the following areas:
- Major organisational and cultural changes
- Change initiatives such as mergers and
redundancies, TUPE transfers and restructuring
- Collective consultation
- Trade Union recognition
- Contractual and policy variations
Disputes
When employers and their employees part ways this can
be a managed amicable process or one which can end up being contentious
and costly for a business. We work with our clients to avoid claims
arising in the first place. If claims are issued our support often
increases their chances of succeeding in tribunals or at court. We fight
our client’s corner hard. In particular we deal with the following:
- Severance and Compromise Agreements
- Unfair dismissal claims
- Discrimination claims
- Breach of contract claims
- TUPE claims
- Boardroom disputes
- Enforcing and defending claims on confidentiality, restrictive covenants and breach of fiduciary duty including by way of injunction
- Collective and individual claims
