Beale and Company advises Roger Preston & Partners on sale to Grontmij

Beale and Company Solicitors LLP has announced that its Corporate Services team has advised Roger Preston & Partners, one of the world’s largest consultancies specialising exclusively in building services engineering, on its sale to European design and engineering consultancy Grontmij.
The value of the transaction was £13 million settled in cash plus a performance related earn out.
The Beale and Company team was led by Corporate Services lead partner Michael Archer, with support from Martin John (Partner) and James Hutchinson (Associate).
Derek Tuddenham, a director of Roger Preston & Partners said: “This deal was complex and time critical. We had to work with a legal partner we would trust, that had the experience in our field and understood the importance of getting this deal right first time and on time. Beale and Company met those objectives.”
Michael Archer, who leads the Firm’s specialist Corporate Services practice, commented: “We have worked with Roger Preston & Partners for many years and we are delighted that we could help with this sale. We were involved in planning the transaction at an early stage and understood that completion within the 07/08 tax year was essential.
