Beale and Company advises Flint & Neill on sale to COWI Group
10 December 2008
Beale and Company Solicitors LLP has announced that its Corporate Services team has advised Flint & Neill, a firm of consulting, civil and structural engineers working mainly in the design, analysis, construction and maintenance of bridges, long span structures, tall guyed masts and towers and other complex building structures, on its sale to leading international consulting group COWI.
The Beale and Company team was led by Corporate Services lead partner Michael Archer, with support from Martin John (Partner) and James Hutchinson (Associate).
Ian Firth, the new Chief Operating Officer of Flint & Neill Limited said: "This provides a secure platform on which we can continue to provide the expert and specialist services for which we are already known, and opens up opportunities for participation in major projects which we could not previously handle alone. Like us, Beale and Company are specialists in the engineering sector and were able to provide pragmatic legal advice throughout the transaction."
Michael Archer, who leads the Firm's specialist Corporate Services practice, commented: "We have worked with Flint & Neill for many years and we are delighted that we could assist with this sale. The deal shows that despite the global downturn, there is a strong market for award winning consulting engineers. We hope to support Flint & Neill going forward."
