We understand that it is a discomforting experience for any professional or director to be on the receiving end of a claim and our professional clients appreciate the fact that we provide a personal, partner-led service - professional to professional. We also understand that the effects of a claim can be far reaching; in addition to the obvious financial consequences, they may include serious damage to reputation and major diversion of partner/director time and resources in addition to the obvious financial consequences. Our approach is therefore to work closely with the insured professional/director and his insurers to agree a strategy for handling the claim, whether that involves mounting a rigorous defence or seeking an early settlement.
We are instructed by most of the leading professional indemnity insurers and D&O and brokers and are well versed in the operation of the London insurance market. We also act in relation to coverage disputes on notification and other policy issues that may arise between insurer and insured.
