Sarah completed her CPE and LPC with Commendation at The College of Law, London while fee earning in a litigation practice. She then trained and worked in the litigation and insurance teams at Plexus Law, a specialist professional indemnity and large loss legal practice, for four years prior to joining Beale and Company in October 2007.
Sarah's client experience has been broad and she has acted successfully for engineering clients against claims brought by a public body in the Technology and Construction Court as well as advising a group of residential home owners in a claim against a large national property developer that concluded in mediation. She has been involved in a number of cases involving highly technical specialist issues ranging from the wind induced dynamic responses of structures to mining and geotechnical matters. She has also acted successfully for a number of engineers and architects in respect of fee claims.
She has acted for insurers, engineers, architects, contractors and private clients on a range of construction, insurance and professional negligence disputes and has handled complex multiparty court proceedings and mediations as well as providing pre-action dispute advice and acting for her clients in adjudication matters. Her insurance experience includes advising on policy coverage issues and handling subrogated claims.
Sarah is a member of the Society of Construction Lawyers.
