Who are the Buns of Steel?

The Buns of Steel is made up of a group of Beale and Company staff and friends of the firm who undertake an annual challenge to raise money for charity. In previous years the Buns have successfully climbed Ben Nevis and completed the Yorkshire 3 Peaks challenge raising over £9,000 for Marie Curie Cancer Care.

Beale & Company Solicitors ‘Buns of Steel' group complete the Lake District Six Peaks Challenge to raise £8,600 for RedR

The Buns of Steel are Beale and Company's charity group who commit to a biennial fundraising challenge. This year on the 22nd September, Ian Masser, associate at the firm, led 42 colleagues and friends on a 14-mile trek up some of the Lake District's most challenging terrain, which took the group around 10 hours to complete.

"It was an exhausting and gruelling day, but I'm very proud of everyone for having completed the trek and we are delighted that our efforts will go towards helping RedR's vital humanitarian work" said Ian Masser.

RedR is an international disaster relief charity which trains aid workers and provides skilled professionals to humanitarian programmes worldwide. "Without the initiative and commitment of supporters like Beale and Company, RedR would not be able to carry out our vital work training the aid workers who help people and communities hit by disaster", said Martin McCann, RedR CEO.
