Who are the Buns of Steel?
The Buns of Steel is made up of a group of Beale and Company staff and friends of the firm who undertake an annual challenge to raise money for charity. In previous years the Buns have successfully climbed Ben Nevis and completed the Yorkshire 3 Peaks challenge raising over £9,000 for Marie Curie Cancer Care.
Movember 2011
A team from Beales, called the Beale's Banderos, will be devoting Movember (formerly known as November) to growing, nurturing and preening the most impressive moustaches they can manage to raise awareness and money for mens health charities, specifically prostate and testicular cancer.

2010 Buns of Steel Challenge
The Buns stepped things up a level and attempted their toughest event to date in the form of the National 3 Peak Challenge. The Buns raised £10,000 for the firm's nominated charities which are RedR in the UK and Trócaire in Ireland. The challenge involved climbing the three highest peaks in England (Scafell Pike), Scotland (Ben Nevis) and Wales (Snowdon) in 24 hours. The buns climbed 9700 feet, walked 26 miles and drove 450 miles to complete the challenge.
RedR
RedR has been selected as the firm's UK charity. RedR UK is an international charity which provides training and recruitment for the humanitarian sectors working in international disaster relief. The charity focuses on improving emergency response worldwide by ensuring that the right people are available, with the right skills. Read more at www.redr.org.uk.
